Purpose

The purpose of this privacy policy (this "Privacy Policy") is to inform users of our Site of the following:

1. The personal data we will collect;
2. Use of collected data;
3. Who has access to the data collected; and
4. The rights of Site users.

This Privacy Policy applies in addition to the Terms and Conditions.

It is Evstry’s policy to comply with the privacy legislation within our jurisdiction. This Privacy Policy covers all activities subject to the provisions of Canada’s federal and Ontario’s provincial privacy laws, and other international jurisdictions not otherwise specifically addressed by this Privacy Policy. The Site and Services are available to be viewed internationally, and we endeavour to ensure compliance with all applicable privacy legislation in your jurisdiction. Evstry provides its services primarily to Canadian markets, and ensures its compliance with all applicable privacy legislation, including but not limited to, the secure storage of user data, disclosing the collection and use of its user data, and only using its users’ data for purposes associated with or ancillary to the Services.

Data Collected Automatically

In order to create an Account on the Site, you must provide the following information:

3. Event details.

When you visit and use our Site, we may automatically collect and store the following information:

Data Collected in a Non-Automatic Way

We shall collect the following data when you perform certain functions on our Site:

3. Creating an event;
4. Setting up a Stripe account;
5. Guest RSVP; and
6. Guest gift contribution.

How We Use Personal Data

Data collected on our Site will only be used for the purposes specified in this Privacy Policy or indicated on the relevant pages of our Site. We will not use your data beyond what we disclose in this Privacy Policy.

The data we collect automatically is used for the following purposes:

1. Providing, maintaining, evaluating, and improving our services and Site; and
2. Conducting analytics on Site usage.

The data we collect when the user performs certain functions may be used for the following purposes:

1. Account registration;
2. Email communications;
3. Providing, maintaining, evaluating, and improving our services and Site;
4. Fulfilling requests for information; and
5. Providing customer support.

Who We Share Personal Data With
Employees

We may disclose user data to any member of our organization and the agencies that we work with who reasonably needs access to user data to achieve the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.

Other Disclosures

We will not sell or share your data with other third parties, except in the following cases:

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your Personal Information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will also notify you of choices you may have regarding the Personal Information we are storing which is subject to such change of control.

We may share aggregated, non-personally identifiable information publicly and with our partners, such as publishers, advertisers or connected sites. For example, we may share information publicly to show trends about the general use of our Service. Evstry will never disclose data which may personally identify you, outside the scope of the Services and the Terms and Conditions and this Privacy Policy, without your prior written consent.

How Long We Store Personal Data

User data will be stored for 2 years from the date of upload.

You may be notified if your data is kept for longer than this period.

Evstry may retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Consistent with these requirements, we will endeavour to delete your information quickly upon request. Please note, however, that there might be latency in deleting information from our servers and backed-up versions might exist after deletion. In the event that you request information for deletion which has been sold or otherwise transferred in anonymized, aggregate format to a third party, Evstry shall endeavour to take such reasonable steps as it determines in its sole discretion are required to ensure the information is deleted by the third party in a timely manner.

How We Protect Your Personal Data

In order to protect your security, we use one of the strongest available browser encryptions and store all of our data on Canadian servers using Microsoft Azure. Microsoft Azure's privacy policy can be found here:

We use Stripe's payment processing platform to facilitate payments. Stripe’s privacy policy can be found here:

We use Auth0’s authentication and authorization platform for access management. Auth0’s privacy policy can be found here:

We use Twilio SendGrid’s customer communications email service. Twilio SendGrid’s privacy policy can be found here:

Our employees and agencies are bound by strict confidentiality agreements and a breach of this agreement may result in termination of services.

While we take all reasonable precautions to ensure that user data is secure and that users are protected, there always remains the risk of harm. The Internet as a whole can be insecure at times and therefore, we are unable to guarantee the security of user data beyond what is reasonably practical.

1. You can opt-out of the use of your personal data for marketing emails. You can opt-out by clicking "unsubscribe" on the bottom of any marketing email.

Modifications

This Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time in order to maintain compliance with the law and to reflect any changes to our data collection process. When we amend this Privacy Policy we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this Privacy Policy. We recommend that our users periodically review our Privacy Policy to ensure that they are notified of any updates. If necessary, we may notify users by email of changes to this Privacy Policy.
